WOODSTOCK, Ga. — The man accused of killing four people and injuring another person at a Cherokee County massage business Tuesday afternoon has been caught.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect, Robert Aaron Long, 21, was captured around 8:30 p.m. following a chase in Crisp County in south Georgia, about three hours away from the shooting scene.
Eight people were killed Tuesday at three different spas in northwest Georgia, police said. At least four of the victims were Asian women.
A shooter killed three Asian women at Gold Spa in Atlanta, and a fourth Asian woman was killed across the street at Aromatherapy Spa, a local CBS affiliate.
About an hour earlier and 25 miles north in Acworth, four more people were killed at Young’s Asian Massage Parlor, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. One other person was injured, and the victims from the Acworth shooting have not been identified in any way.
It is currently unknown if the shootings are connected.

Two people were killed when the small plane they were in crashed in a Pembroke Pines neighborhood Monday afternoon, hitting a car as it went down and leaving the adult inside injured while a child inside later died, officials said. Pembroke Pines Police said the crash happened in the area of Southwest 72nd Avenue and Southwest 13th Street.
Surveillance footage from a nearby home showed the plane coming down and hitting the car before slamming into the ground and erupting into a ball of flames. Aerial footage showed the wreckage of the plane up against an airport fence as firefighters sprayed it down, just across the street from a residential neighborhood. Other pieces of the plane were scattered around the scene.
Rescue workers were also seen helping someone who was in the damaged vehicle onto a stretcher and into the back of an ambulance.
The two people on the plane were killed at the scene, fire rescue officials said. An adult and child who were in the car that was hit had to be extricated from the vehicle and were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in serious condition. The adult was later released while the child died late Monday night, according to sources to NBC 6.
The names of the victims have not been released.

One woman said she was nearby when the plane went down and described the horrific scene.
"We heard a tremendous noise and we went out and everybody was on fire, everything was bad," Annabelle Fernandez said. "It got to the car. It was a mother with her kid and we don’t know what happened to them. The fire rescue came and they got them."

Suspicious' death of missing teen remains under investigation in St. Clair County
Police remained tight-lipped Monday about their investigation into the death of a missing teenager whose lifeless body was found near a popular hiking trail on Sunday during a search of the area.
Leah Conner, 16, of nearby Avoca in St. Clair County, was reported missing by her family about 4:15 p.m. Saturday after not returning from a walk she started several hours earlier. Her body was found Sunday morning by a State Police K9 dog beneath the Trestle Bridge on the Wadhams to Avoca trail, which runs about two miles from Conner’s home.
An autopsy is planned this week, according to Michigan State Police Lt. Lizabeth Rich. A spokesperson for the St. Clair County Medical Examiner said Monday the autopsy was not scheduled.
“Investigators are still at work on this,” Rich said. “We aren’t discussing or releasing other details until after an autopsy. Any death in this manner is considered suspicious until an autopsy is completed. But we don’t feel there is any reason for the community to be alarmed. At this time, law enforcement does not feel there is a threat to the public.”
Rich said investigators have not ruled out the death being accidental. Conner was found near a 60-foot-high bridge that crosses Mill Creek.
Conner was a junior at Yale High School, where students were being counseled following news of her death, school district Superintendent Ken Nicholl said.
“We are a small community and something like this touches everyone — students and staff,” said Nicholl, who said an announcement was made to the 600-student population at the start of the school day.
Nicholl described Conner as a “good kid” who ran cross-country, was on the school robotics team and played the ukulele at a school talent show. She also played piano and was a singer and songwriter.
“We don’t know what happened or why something happened, but that's secondary to helping to address the loss everyone is feeling right now,” Nicholl said. “We spent several hours on Sunday night planning on how to deal with this today. It's been very difficult.”
Friends had set up a GoFundMe account in Conner's memory to help pay funeral and memorial expenses. It had raised more than $19,000 by Monday afternoon, according to the site. On it, Conner was described as “a beautiful blue-eyed young lady with an infectious smile who had a bright future ahead of her.” Conner was said to have “loved to dance and attended classes at the dance studio in Emmett.”
Conner is survived by her father, Ian; mother, Tricia McDonald, and four sisters, Hannah, Elizabeth, Keely, and Kenzie.

Discovery made in Kent woodland, shortly after Metropolitan Police officer arrested on suspicion of murder
Human remains have been found in the search for Sarah Everard, whose disappearance a week ago sparked a huge police hunt and the arrest of a police diplomatic protection officer.
Metropolitan Police commissioner Cressida Dick said the discovery was made on Wednesday in an area of woodland detectives had been searching in Ashford, Kent.
Ms Everard, 33, a marketing executive, disappeared last Wednesday evening after leaving a friend’s flat in Clapham, southwest London, at about 9pm.
Wayne Couzens, a serving officer, has now been arrested on suspicion of murder and a separate allegation of indecent exposure. He was previously detained on Tuesday on suspicion of kidnap.
Mr Couzens, 48, is in the Metropolitan Police Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command. His main role was uniformed patrol of diplomatic premises, the Met says.

“This evening, detectives and search teams investigating the disappearance have found, very sadly, what appears to be human remains,” Ms Dick said in a statement.

The news that it was a Metropolitan Police officer arrested on suspicion of murder had sent shockwaves and anger through the public and the Met, she continued.
“I speak on behalf of all my colleagues when I say we are utterly appalled at this dreadful, dreadful news.
“Our job is to patrol the streets and to protect people. The investigation is large, fast-moving and extremely determined.” She said hundreds of officers and staff were working around the clock.
“Sarah’s disappearance in awful and wicked circumstances is every family’s nightmare,” Ms Dick said.
She stressed that Londoners should know that it is “thankfully incredibly rare” for a woman to be abducted from the capital’s streets.
Her thoughts and prayers were with Ms Everard’s family at a “difficult and painful” time, she added.
The Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command guards the parliamentary estate, including Downing Street and the Palace of Westminster, as well as foreign embassies in London.
Ms Everard left her friend’s flat in Leathwaite Road, Clapham, at around 9pm through a back gate and started walking along the South Circular road towards Brixton.
She is thought to have walked across Clapham Common. The last sighting of her confirmed by police was in Poynders Road, from the junction with Cavendish Road, at around 9.30pm.
Detectives on Wednesday searched the area of woodland in Ashford, and a home in Deal, about 30 miles away, believed to be the suspect’s, where witnesses reported police had dug up the garden and removed vehicles. The officers also erected a search tent.
A neighbour in the road said a police officer lived there with his “chatty” wife and two children.
A woman in her thirties, believed to be the man’s partner, is in custody on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Earlier, assistant commissioner Nick Ephgrave said: “The fact that the man who has been arrested is a serving Metropolitan Police officer is both shocking and deeply disturbing.”
Of Ms Everard’s family, who along with her friends, have issued desperate appeals for help via social media, he said: “As a father myself, of four young women, I can only imagine the anguish that Sarah’s family are feeling at this very very difficult time.”
The case has been referred to watchdog the Independent Office for Police Conduct because it involves a police officer.

WOODSTOCK, Ga. — The man accused of killing four people and injuring another person at a Cherokee County massage business Tuesday afternoon has been caught.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect, Robert Aaron Long, 21, was captured around 8:30 p.m. following a chase in Crisp County in south Georgia, about three hours away from the shooting scene.
Eight people were killed Tuesday at three different spas in northwest Georgia, police said. At least four of the victims were Asian women.
A shooter killed three Asian women at Gold Spa in Atlanta, and a fourth Asian woman was killed across the street at Aromatherapy Spa, a local CBS affiliate.
About an hour earlier and 25 miles north in Acworth, four more people were killed at Young’s Asian Massage Parlor, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. One other person was injured, and the victims from the Acworth shooting have not been identified in any way.
It is currently unknown if the shootings are connected.

Police said someone they spoke to Tuesday confirmed Thomas admitted to them she was pregnant months ago. On a Facebook page investigators believe is associated with Thomas, there is a 2016 reference to having a baby in the bathroom. She said in the post that he was dong better. "We are aware of the information that's on social media from her Facebook account, detectives are looking into that. I don't know that they've been able to corroborate the details that she posted there," said Capt. Richard Cordeau, with the West Melbourne Police Department. Thomas is being held in the Brevard County Jail on no bail. Thomas has two other children, ages 1 and 8, who are in the care of a relative, Department of Children and Families officials said.

On Monday, October 15, 2018, a 911 call was received from the Barron, Wisconsin, United States home of 13-year-old Jayme Lynn Closs and her parents. Upon arrival police found that Closs’ parents had been shot to death and the teenager was missing. Police believed Closs was abducted, and she was not a suspect in her parents’ deaths. 1 She was found alive on January 10, 2019, in Eau Claire Acres, about six miles east of Gordon, Wisconsin. 2 3 A suspect, Jake Thomas Patterson, was taken into custody shortly after Closs was located. 4 5
Jayme Closs was 13 years old at the time of her disappearance. 6 An Amber Alert was issued nationwide around 3:30 pm on October 15. Closs was described as 5 feet tall, 100 lbs, with blonde or strawberry-blonde hair. 7 Prior to the murders and kidnapping, she had been last seen on October 14 at a family member's birthday party. 8 The Barron County Sheriff announced she had been found alive on January 10, 2019. 2
On the night of the disappearance, a 911 call was made from the home of the Closs family at around 1:00 am. 7 While the operator did not speak with anyone, they heard a disturbance and a lot of yelling. When the dispatcher attempted to call the number back, they received the voicemail of Denise Closs. 9 Upon arrival four minutes after the call, police noticed that the front door had been shot in, and Jayme's parents, James Closs (56 years old) and Denise Closs (46 years old), were dead from gunshot wounds. 10 Police, at the time, said they had no suspects in their deaths.
The family dog was still in the home when officers arrived, and it was believed that Jayme was home at the time of the shooting, based on details in the 911 call and evidence from the home. No gun was recovered after searching the home. 11
Two vehicles were spotted on surveillance footage near the Closses' residence, with police identifying them as vehicles of interest. They were described as a red or orange 2008 - 2014 Dodge Challenger, and a black 2006 - 2010 Ford Edge or 2004 - 2010 Acura MDX. 8 Neighbors also said they heard two gunshots around 12:30 am on October 15, but dismissed them as hunting was common around their home and they did not call 911. 12
During an initial search on October 18, searchers concentrated on the sides of US Route 8, which is near the home. 11 On October 23, 2018 volunteers spent the day searching for the missing 13-year-old. A US$25,000 reward for any information leading to the location of Closs was issued on October 24. 14 On October 26, the reward was doubled to $50,000. 15
On the day before Halloween, which was also the day of Jayme's parents' funeral, a Wisconsin man was arrested for allegedly burgling the Closs home. Kyle Jaenke-Annis, 32, admitted to taking items from the home, and a search found he had stuffed two tank tops, a girl's dress and two pairs of girl's underwear in his coat pocket. The suspect told deputies that he took the items because he was "curious about what size Jayme was" and they were items no one would miss. Jaenke-Annis also said he did not know the Closs family, but he did work at the same Jennie-O Turkey Store that James and Denise Closs worked at. Jaenke-Annis was charged with burglary but cleared of any involvement in the disappearance of Jayme. 16

On January 10, 2019, the Barron County Sheriff's Department announced that Jayme Closs had been found near Gordon, Wisconsin, and a suspect had been taken into custody. Late on January 10, investigators blocked all roads leading to a cabin in the 14100 block of South Eau Claire Acres Circle as they combed for evidence. A cabin at that address was previously owned by Patterson's parents, but ownership was turned over to the Superior Choice Credit Union about a week after the October 15 abduction. 17 In a Facebook post at 7:55 pm, Sheriff Fitzgerald announced that the Douglas County Sheriff's Department had located Closs alive. He stated: "Shortly after this a suspect was taken into custody in regards to this case. We do not have any other details at this time as this is a very fluid and active investigation. We will not be answering any questions or taking calls on this tonight." 18
A KMSP-TV report said the relatives of Closs did not recognize the name of the kidnapper. 19 According to reports by KSTP-TV, a Douglas County woman was walking her dog Thursday afternoon when she was interrupted by a teenage girl who ran up to her screaming that a man had murdered her parents. 20 The woman took her to a neighbors' house in order to call the police and for shelter. 21 According to KARE-TV, Jayme told the neighbors she knew the name of the person who took her and explained that the same person had killed her parents. As they waited for police to arrive, Jayme also told the neighbors the captor had kept her just a few houses down, in the same Eau Claire Acres neighborhood of Gordon, Wisc. The neighbors described Jayme as calm and quiet, but they said she also appeared dazed and was surprised the neighbors recognized her from news coverage. Jayme's description of the suspect and his vehicle, according to police, led deputies to arrest the suspect within a matter of minutes. 22 Jayme was found in Gordon at 4:43 p.m., and the suspect was taken into custody at 4:54 p.m.
Child safety advocate and kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart described the recovery as a miracle and described Closs as a hero, commenting: "What a brave, strong, and powerful survivor! No matter what may unfold in her story let’s all try to remember that this young woman has survived and whatever other details may surface the most important will still remain that she is alive." 23 24 25

The suspect has been charged with two counts of first degree murder, illegal use of weapons and home invasion, Webre told reporters.
"Dakota Theriot lived there for a brief period of time but was recently asked to leave the residence and not to return," Webre said.

Two survivors had critical injuries "that were consistent with an explosion, but not necessarily consistent with a bomb," said Carrie Braun, a spokeswoman for the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Bommarito said there didn't appear to be a gas leak.
At this point, officials are not ruling anything out. The blast caused extensive damage to buildings in the area, Sawyer said.
"Anytime you see an explosion of this magnitude, it would definitely be suspicious to us and that's why we rolled out all the resources to get to the bottom of it," he said.
Nothing indicates there were any threats made before the blast, which appeared to be concentrated in a suite on the first floor of the office building, Sawyer said. And there is no specific person that authorities are searching for right now, he added.
FBI spokesman Mike Gifford had said earlier there was no initial indication of terrorism in the facility about 7 miles northeast of Laguna Beach.

8.22.2018, I have heard the awful news that Mollie was found dead, very sad situation. I have redone this case several times and I still am not getting anything close as to what supposedly happened and why...not even close. Seems ever since the US Vice President visited the family things changed. I realize that my DD's are wrong and I don't want to start any conspiracy, but I still have a feeling that the person that confessed to doing this did not, and the current US President had something to do with it.
